3 pages Art journal

I had so much fun starting my new art journal. I made a lot of journals in the last years but  I lost the feeling of "letting go"  on the pages. Glad I found that back. The only thing worse is that my studio alway's turned out in a mess, making these pages.

Told you that I celebrate my birthday this weekend. So we're preparing my lil party this week. For friends and family Rik and I celebrated this year together. Because we're looking forward to spring we wanna organize a spring party at 21 March.

My weekend starts right now with a free night at home. Glass of wine, Mad men in the dvd player and relaxing time is started.  Of-course we planned a lot of fun stuff this weekend but that I tell you later.

I promised you the birthday canvas for my dad, so in love with this one (maybe I make one for myself?)

The lil hands  are made by Puck. Hope my dad is happy with this one.

Street art

How is your evening today? 

Mine is nice and quiet, so I enjoy blogging and catching up with you. 

When I search trough my pictures this evening I found my old collection off street art back.

A few years ago I searched everywhere I came for street art and made lots of pics from this lil art pieces. Thought that I deleted this stuff but now I'am happy that I kept this on my computer.

Wanna show you some favorites.

In Amsterdam you can find so much great graffiti.

This one is found on the wall of a toilet.

Paris Rules.

This pic is made from a bus and the reflection is so weird that I love it.

From the window of a galery, someone spray graffiti on the glass and it gives the painting a great look.

Mushroom love

Thanxs everybody for the great comments. It is so good to read that you looking forward to the MIKASTORE.  

I saw that some of you checked out the MIKASTORY blog, thanxs for that guy's. 

I love to blog on this new one. It felt a lil bit different to make posts about my life in fact of creative stuff. But I enjoy doing this.

At this moment I'm so into mushrooms.

It started with cards but there are now also stickers and vintage mushrooms.

The white paper mushrooms are stickers. I used them a lot for scrapping.  And a few great things I found on the internet!!!!! 

Of course there will be a lot of mushroom stuff available in the store.

This one is so cool.

Evening guy's.......yes it is still wednesday so lets start the update that I promised.

Happy sunday

Can't believe it's sunday. Some weeks just disappear.

Before I know it's time, to pick up normal life and start with my job (gonna enjoy this free time as much as possible) I toughed first to start earlier with my job but now I'm not sure. Think I finally found my routine back at home.

The weekend was good. Spend much time walking with Puck and our dog, and yesterday we had a bbq birthday party. Hubby is working this whole weekend so didn't see him that much.......but tomorrow we spend the whole day together. 

Still on our program:

Making mini photo books for everyone who helped us the last months to enjoy our birth/ labor day's and say thank you again.

Uploading all the pictures we made the last weeks.

Find out how to make a lil DVD on the Mac.

Squashing again (it's gonna be hard after nine months I guess).

Starting making doodles on my brand new Bamboo.

Ok enough, I promised you my Matroesjka's so here we go.

And a few treasures that I found on the internet! I like to search and see what I can get. There is so much inspiration going on out there.

Weekend stuff......

Having a great weekend over here. 

Family time, a sunny backyard, some coffee, rose wine and BBQ, and time to be creative. 

Rik is back to work tommorow, after a whole month of vacation, so we enjoying the moments with the three of us. 

Time flies.... so hope this sunday is gonna be a long one.

Because we are now with three of us (four including the dog) we decided to write some stuff down on a calender. We are not that organized but we give it a try this time. We bought a magnet board and I started making a calender.

                    

I told you that I was making key hangers of my spaceships and robots. Tried some stuff this weekend and made a couple of test products. Hope that I can finish the originals today (show you when it's done)

Batman and spaceships

Hello everybody.....it feels like a long time ago that I sat down at the computer to work on a new post. Busy around here with baby stuff, organise the house and garden and enjoying our family time. Things are going well. Thank god, the broken nights are almost over!!!!!! And I feel a lot better with a night of 8 hours in stead off 2. The last day's I had time to sketch some spaceships and other stuff. It felt nice to create again.

 

I think there is a kit on his way, have a lot of ideas for UFO stickers and key hangers.

Also found this. My dad designed this a few years ago and I give the girls some colour.

I love his paintings and hope he will updated his blog soon so you can check out his work online.

And this one I made today. I love the SKIRLY design.

Yesterday we finnaly got our new mac book (so this is the first post on the new one) It feels so good to got this back. Because I love the apple stuff also bought the I phone. Rik uses it over a year now  and I play a lot with his one. Watching fashion TV, making pictures or checking internet it is all in one. It will be deliverd tomorow so promise that I will make a first I phone post.

And a big suprise for Puck this evening. Lars bought her first Batman baby longsleeve, so cool. Thanx cool uncle L.

Sneak peak painting

Ok guy's I'm back to "normal life". The last week was great but there is more in life that has to been done. Cards, presents and congrats are still part of my day (and I love it) but it is also nice to be part of the adult world and get back on track.

This morning I found time to work on my new painting. I started a day before The giving birth day..... so I couldn't  finish. It felt good to be back in my studio and have a little"me time".

A little sneak preview. Worked with an old comic book from "the Doors" that I found . Curious how it turned out? Stay tuned.

 

Also wanna show you the birth card of Puck, Rik and I made it a long time ago and we are so happy with it. What do you think?

 

 

And a new sketch off my music cards (still a lot of ideas that I work out when I find the time) And ofcourse a pic of a new mom and dad.

 

 

Almost forgot to tell you that we can buy a new mac book next week and the insurance is paying!!!!!!!!! (I'm so happy with that)
