Something old, something new

In my last post I promised you more about my paintings, so here we go.

Something old and something new.

Made this one for a friend, The devil says he's sorry is a track of his album. Look at this link, Lazystar for his blog and some of his songs.

 

The why so serious painting is in our living-room for months I guess. Every time we think we want something else on that spot we decide to let it stay at his place. I still like this one- liner from the ......... ? (Let's play some lil game) Did someone know from witch movie this is?

The one with the frame is my first piece of art ever. Used paint, markers a frame and a lot of magazine photo's. Can't trow this away so it hangs in my studio for years.

 

This one I made for my brother his fav lyric from the Stereophonics

I have so much more, but i'll keep that for another post.

The last thing I wanna share with you is such a great idea from this Girl. She tells at her blog that she miss the real mail in her box. The one the postman brings....... and she call up her blog readers to start sending cards around. I love this idea. The fact that you find some real paper in your mailbox gives me alway's the.....SURPRISE feeling. If you wanna join let me and her let me know.

What took you so long?

Let me introduce myself (LOL) ..............

My name is MIKA..... that blond girl that likes to draw and paint and makes all kind creatice stuff? Is that saying something to you?

It's been a while since my last post. Told you that there is not much time left in my daily program but reorganised some stuff at home and you see.... back again....... Hope it is for a long time. Missed your comments guy's and you blogs, plans for tonight, reading you!..... I hope that you can find your way back to my blog I promiss you there'll be going on a lot this week on MIkascrap. So stay tuned.

Made this drawings a week ago. Do you know the feeling that your in a sort of creative flow and make one after another?

Like that so much... I am also that kind of person that started all kinds off stuff together and finisch nothing, so I'am so proud to tell you that my new born book is ready. All pics that I made during my pregnancy and in the first 10 day's after labor day are in one book together with all my diary fragments. I am so proud that this one is ready.

Show you this week my pages and I am thinking off to design a sort off new born/preganancy book for new moms..... . but that's an idea.

What do you think about my drawings? Ofcourse they will be in the store but wanna show them right now to you

O and speaking about my store coming next week......time for an update!

Again no new stuff!!

Hi you all,

Still no new stuff. I know it is taking long this time. 

Hope you'll forgive my lil creative depression...... There is too much in my mind right now to let creativity in I think. The weekends I try to work in my studio but the last weekends  were planned as full as they can get. Believe me only nice things but busy. The first weekend that is free is half way september and that weekend we planned a lil lovers weekend in Keulen to watch modern art in the Ludwig Museum. The normal day's are full with my job, my lil girl and the one thing I hate the most cleaning! So you understand my 24 hours are full. Sometimes I wish that a day had double hours so I can do more. How do you create time to do what you love the most?

My last project is this painting and I wanna make more of these. I have to make time in my busy program to start painting.

I told you about the price that I won on Inka's blog. 

Inka send me my choice from her etsy store and also some great candy. But it was a big surprise for me that she send me a few balloons with my name on it. Thanxs again Inka.

Ok back to work and preparing my appointments for tomorrow........

My dads studio

Sorry guy's yesterday I was not at home to update my blog, but I'll make it good with you right now..

How was your weekend? Mine was great. 

A lot of family time with hubs and Pepper and a great movie on sunday.

We saw Digrace a beautifull art house movie with John Malcovich. Did anyone see this one?

If you don't check it out, it's worth seeing.

I wanna show you this time not mine studio but the studio off my dad.

Alway's feeling inspired when I walk in that room. So much paintings, colours and space. My room is to lil to throw with paint and work with big canvas but in this you can throw paint all around you LOL.

I told you a year ago that my dad started a blog with his paintings but he never used it.

Now he had so much material that he will start again. When he update I let you know.

We started also a project together. Making cards of his paintings to sell them online. I think there will be a lot of peolple who loves his style of art. 

Ok back to Mikas Crap. I'm busy with a lot new projects and hope to show them soon. Also decide something, so big news is coming. Stay tuned .....Love Mika

Ugly dolls and a painting

Just finished my painting in a sunny backyard.

I'll give this one a nice spot in our bedroom. Think it fits great out there.

It feels so good to finaly work with my spray cans, miss that a lot during my pregancy.

My mom made this dolls for Puck Pepper. They are so cute and they fit perfect in her room.

 

Things are going well over here. Yesterday we had our first night with more than 3 hours of sleep (LOL) she slept for 8 hours (in two times) so we catch up a lil from the last nights. Tommorow we gonna make our first trip to the big city with her, to buy our new mac book and to sit on the terras if it is good weather, so curious how things will be......keep you updated.

Colour candy

Just colour candy to let you know that spring is coming inn. 

Today I enjoyed the first sun shine in our garden and it was so good !!!!

What a night

It was such a crazy night. First of all I went to bed at 1:30 in the morning.

I painted a lot these day's at night (and couldn't stop at a normal time) but not making things I like. 

(So lazy star you'll have to wait! untill I think it is great and then you get it)

When I went into my bed I couldn't sleep. So for a few I went hours into bed and again out of bed (I hate that)

When I almost fell a sleep there was some tornado over Holland. Rain and  lots of lightning untill 6:00 this morning. At 7:00 I fell a sleep and at this moment I'm awake again and so tired!!!!!!

It will be a long day today before I can go to my bed because we having a party tonight.

Enough with my complain..........back to some projects.

I told you that I'm looking forward to see the movie "factory girl". 

When I came home from work this week there was a big suprise Rik dowloaded the movie so I didn't have to go to the cinema but I could watch at home. 

It was a great movie and I wanna watch it again. Because we alway's make a mess of the dowloads I made a cover so that I can find it back.

Still working with the tapes and try to make it on canvas.

Oh a little secret......  I almost forgot to tell you that this man is buying a vintage porsche today (hope to shoot some sixtees pics from the car today)

And that was it.......

And that was it...for 2007, x-mas is behind us too quikly, but we can look back at two lovely day's.

• x-mas eve we had a lot of gifts under the tree, Maart and Lars where there and we had a lot of champagne, small bites and lots of fun....and loads of gifts (Rik bought me some Marlies Dekkers lingerie, I LoVE IT so much so thanks Cookie)
• The first morning we had breakfast at my parents house...it was late the evening before so everybody was in pyama and again champagne and gifts (I was spoiled)
• Late in the afternoon we had diner with Rik's parents. Everybody who was invited made some special things to eat and diner was great, and again we drank champagne. It was a great evening.
• Day two is alway's our lazy day.....Rik and I alway's watch movies and hang in, next, up, around the couch, so my brother (who is living with us this year) had to hang out with us.......and again there was champagne and good bites. We watched 9 hours the lord of the ring movies and did nothing at all besides enjoy eachothers compagny and making plans for my brothers new home. He has to wait for tree day's and then he'llget the key's for his appartment. There is a lot to plan and organize (I like to do that)

Before you know it, X-mas is over. I'm glad that I have X-mas holiday till 7 januari so I can do a lot of nice things and enjoy this time of the year.  I have a lot of plans...... I wanna go to the museum, help my brother with his new home, paint the wall at Maartjes place, scrap and be creative these day's so I need this time to fix it all.

Before x-mas I made another painting. I used a photo from a magazine (Pete Dorethy, I don't like him but the pictures are just perfect!) and smacked paint around the pics. I love to do this. Espaccily with scrap supplies. So you see in the painting, scrapletters, stamps and ribbon. The frame is from an old painting, I kept this for some project. (So you see Henk a whole new touch about this frame)

I'm off for now just enjoying my free time....and don't forget to watch Miss P/M tomorrow!
